Joseph Williams was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana. When he was young, he learned about nature and knew he wanted to go into the world of sciences. After reading up on weather patterns, he knew he wanted to be a meteorologist.
In May 2016, he became a student at Ball State University. While there, he was a weather forecaster for Newslink Indiana, Ball State’s TV news program, and for 91.3 WCRD, a radio station at Ball State. He also became the assistant chief weather forecaster for 91.3 WCRD, in January 2020. In the process, he gained valuable experience in how to use his forecasting skills. In May 2020, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, while earning his Honors diploma for his work at Ball State’s Honors College.
In his spare time, he likes to read books and science papers, and he loves to watch science documentaries and gaming videos. Being new to West Virginia, he’s also willing to go to new places and wants to learn new things, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to email him.
