UPDATE: Clarksburg City Council votes to increase interim city manager's salary temporarily
Clarksburg City Council voted to increase the interim city manager's salary at their meeting Thursday night.
According to Clarksburg City Mayor Ryan Kennedy, Annette Wright's salary was temporarily increased by $18,000 per year for the short time period that she is in the position.
Kennedy says the council voted unanimously.
Kennedy says that Wright will return to her previous salary when she returns to the position of city clerk
The Clarksburg City Council will discuss a pay raise for interim city manager, Annette Wright at their next meeting.
According to the agenda for the next meeting, the resolution is for an increase in her salary of the interim city manager for the duration of her time as interim city manager.
The city council will also consider appointing Paula Hardman as interim city clerk.
Wright was appointed interim city manager when city council voted to suspend Martin Howe.
The meeting will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Clarksburg Municipal Building.
